a new phishing scheme is going on through steam. We have ALL received the "This is a Steam support person, your account will be shut off unless you send me your password Right NOW!!" IMs through Steam and everyone knows to ignore these. Now they are using the free gifting system (I gifted Zombie HL2 YOUR WELCOME!!!!!!) to get your accounts with a fake website asking you to sign in.

Be careful and make sure you always check the web addresses before entering in information.

No I haven't :p

My friend did once though. He was on late and possibly drunk at the time and ended up getting his account locked. In the end steam unlocked it for him so all is well. They have however been known to be a lot less forgiving. Another friend of mine was given a CD key from one of his buddies for, portals I think, and when he tried to activate it, lost his account.
