my vent goes crazy whenever i try to run combat arms.

whenever i try to run combat arms when using vent my mic either wont shut off even when i'm not pressing the hot key or it ends up making a weird high pitch noise that i can't shut off till i close vent, i'm pretty sure i pissed of more than one person because of it ( sorry, surfer, nightmare and the other guys

Hmm all I can think of is to try reinstalling vent or checking out the error database on the Ventrilo homepage.
Do you have a sound card or are you using onboard audio?
