Well I work in an area where I watch many kids skip and drop out of school and I see what their families are like, and how they live for doing the same thing. All I can say is that you will appreciate the options you have later for all the schooling you take today. I honestly mean that to. The more schooling you take, the more options you have and the better you can make your own future.

LOL I'm sure you can learn something in school :p
Well school sucks, but it doesn't mean it's not important. There is after all a reason why almost everyone bothers with it. When you guys start your working careers you will see that there is so much competition, you won't believe it until you see it. Even in this small country it is common that employers get 200+ applications, for one single position.

well, i never argued about that school is such important like you or hand or renotso said. i know that its the most important thing for the next 50 years. but as you say it sucks and its boring. the thing is that you have to learn so much piece of crap like chemistry for example. in my country is more tough since we have the albanians (albania is a country near us. the whole albania is in greece and have all greek works so all greek dont have job)

Speaking for myself i droped out of school 3 times, couldn't stand it.
Ive done 7½ months in the Army and been working since i was 19.
And i must say that I enjoyed everything more then school.
But thats just me i guess.
But as everything in life: "it is what u make it"

tbh how old are you? well if you are doing things you like u really enjoy this. for example if u get a job over something that you like ofc you will enjoy. also at army if you had a good commander then it would propably be cool.

I turn 26 tomorrow.
Army was great, and commanders where great to... and i got to play with a FN Minimi (M249)for 7 months since i was a support gunner in my group.
And i work as a Bartender and get to flirt with beautiful girls during working hours and serve ppl drinks.
So yea.. my carrer life is way better then my school life ever was. hehe

Well about the army.. In Norway it's not much fun. Atleast not 6th Division...
40 degrees celcius below freezing, you are crawling in 6 or more feet of snow and there is a blizzard... You are wet, tired and cold :p
That's the reason the 6th Norwegian Division is the official winter troops for NATO and why half the world comes there every year to train for the joint NATO exercise.
To give you a picture.. it's at around 69 degrees north in the mountains lol..
Krez you make a point, life is what you make of it. What I mean is that you can get a job even with no education but it requires more work to push ahead of the competition. I dropped out of school myself, twice. I started working both times and I enjoyed that a lot more than school. But then I have been working from the age of 13 so employers knows I have experience which is perhaps as important and a good replacement for education for most jobs. But then again I may have been lucky and I'm not really ambitious when it comes to work. A job is a job, to me it's as simple as that. But obviously there are some jobs I would not do hehe :p
EDIT: That's nice Krez, I'd like to be a bartender myself perhaps. But..
Didn't you get to try any RPG's or or those rocket launcher bazooka things? That was fun, hard to hit the target but when that rocket left the tube, oh boy! :D
The biggest fun was the 12,7mm heavy machine gun. To you Americans that's a 50 cal. That maniac bites hard, I could see the snow go up and down all around me like a vibrating white mass and my poor paper target gets shredded up real good. The army had some kickass fun, but also it's not so fun sides..

Aye i did my military time in Luleå (northern sweden) we had -25 to -35 degrees in the winter (did military from oktober to may).. so i had my share deal with cold aswell :p
Well i got to play with all kind of weapons but just pointed out that M249 was my primary weapon.
Got to play with grenades, pistols, explosives, assault rifles etc.
Yea u make a good point aswell, droping out of school is tough, since u have to work twice as hard to get a job, but once u get one you get otherones easier since good job references might in some cases tip the scale compared to haveing straight A's.
Did a Bartender education beggining of this year aswell but i was more mature and took it more serious now at the age of 26 rather then what I did at 17-19
Just wanted to say that work and army in my case is much more fun then school ever was.
Though I admire ppl that finish thier education and take it seriously.
I would never recomend my daughter, for example, to drop out of school.

well. this year i had half good teachers, half bastards. the good teachers was really feeling us. we were chatting with them, getting out for a coffee and like this. with the other half, we were trying to burn their cars and like this. if there had been only cool teachers. then i would love school

Oh in Luleå? I know where that is :D
Not warm there either in the winter, no
I figured you were American since you had the SAW, oh well being in the army in Nordkallotten=respeKt! :p
We're using old German weapons here, still haha AG3, MG3.. etc
