This thread will go over the rules we expect everyone to follow while playing on our Call of Duty 4 server.
The following rules are scrolled by the servers console every five minutes in 20 second intervals. They are also listed exactly how they are seen below in red and yellow text to make it easy for everyone to notice.
1) Server Rules: Respect other players and watch your language.
Explanation: We expect all players to act in a mature manner. This means there will be no verbal abuse of other player who are following the rules. If you suspect someone of breaking the rules or cheating please tell any available ||§§|| member and they will contact an admin.
We understand the excitement and emotion this game can cause but we will only allow swearing if it is done in a good natured or joking fashion. Purposefully negative or aggressive language is not allowed.
This Includes any player names that we deem to be offensive. Players with offensive name will be immediately banned.
2) Server Rules: If you are caught jumping around corners or jumping/diving when you come into contact with enemy players you will be banned.
Explanation: We use the word "Jumping" so everyone will understand that we do not allow "Bunny Hopping" on our server. We know some people do not believe "Bunny Hopping" can happen in CoD4 but they are only using extreme examples of gravity defying jumping games as reference.
Here at ||§§|| we define "Bunny Hopping" as: The use of the jump key to gain a tactical advantage over another player.
This means no repetitive jumping when you come into a face to face conflict with an enemy player and no jumping around corners.
As a good frame of reference you should only be jumping in this game in order to get over an obstacle that is part of the map design.
While you are allowed to use prone, we do not allow what is called "Dolphin Diving". This means no going prone every time you come into a face to face conflict with an enemy player and no jumping then going strait into a prone position.
3) Server Rules: No using any Map Glitches.
Explanation: We do not allow people to use "Map Glitches". There are areas in some maps that are not meant to be accessible by the players. These areas usually need to be accessed by using glitches or errors in the map design.
You may have to jump on a certain specific spot or shoot at something to be able to climb up into these normally unacceptable areas.
These produce a clear tactical advantage that have nothing to do with a players skill level and are not to be used during full game play on our server!
While you "can" do any of these, we do not and in our server we expect you to follow this rule.
4) Server Rules: Extended Spectating is only allowed for ||SS|| Admins.
Explanation: You are allowed to spectate in our server for a short period of time. If you must leave the game for an extended time please leave the server and join again later.
If we find that someone is in spectating mode for most of a game or multiple games we will assume that they are feeding information about the opposite team to certain teammate on their side. You will be kicked for breaking this rule but are fully allowed to rejoin the game assuming you do not continue to repeat such behavior.
5) Server Rules: If you are caught cheating or breaking any of our rules you will be kick or banned.
Explanation: We have a very good group of active administrators playing and observing our server. If you are caught cheating, hacking or breaking any of our server rules you will be kicked from the server and possible permanently banned depending on the severity of the offense and the administrator's stance on the matter at the time.
It is at the administrators discretion on whether or not to give a warning to the offending player. All players are expected to read the rules as they scroll in game. If the administrator feels that it was a clear offense they may take action as they deem fit.

Administers DO NOT ban or kick players for using legitimate game features.
This means you will not be kicked for using perks like Martyrdom, Last Stand, Triple Grenade or Grenade Launchers. These are all part of the game and allowed but we do strongly recommend building your skill level so that these certain crutches are not necessary.
You may also run or crouch as much as you want.
You will not be kicked for simple being a very good player with a high score.
If you have a great score a admin may spectate you to verify it's legitimacy but they will not kick you unless they feel some part of your game play is questionable.
As a side note for ||§§|| clan and forum members: Please use your forum/Xfire name while in the ||§§|| server. We consider aliases offensive and that could result in being banned from the server!
We trust our Administrators and while you are in our house we expect you to respect us and follow our rules!
