Due to the problems with people just applying and doing nothing at the Xfire Site, I set it to Invite Only, and put directions on the front page to go to this site to register and apply first and then they would be allowed onto the Xfire site.

Anyone that is a Private or above on the Xfire list has the power to recruit for the Xfire Section, You can find your current rank here (Please Note: those ranks are for the Xfire site ONLY and apply no where else)
http://www.xfire.com/clans/thesuicidesoldiers/roster/

The powers of each level on the Xfire section are as follows (Prospect is someone who has just applied)

Administrator: Plan, Organize, Recruit, Manage, Administer, Moderate News, Create News, Reply To News, Forum Admin
General: Plan, Organize, Recruit, Manage, Administer, Moderate News, Create News, Reply To News, Forum Admin
Commander: Plan, Organize, Recruit, Manage, Moderate News, Create News, Reply To News
Major: Plan, Organize, Recruit, Create News, Reply To News
Lieutenant: Plan, Recruit, Create News, Reply To News
Sergeant: Plan, Recruit, Create News, Reply To News
Private: Recruit, Reply To News
Recruit: Reply To News
Prospect: Reply To News (Prospect is the default rank when you are accepted into the the clan, before your a full member)
I want to know what everyone thinks. Keep it private, make it public, I can hide it from everyone but members to?
Until we get a High Council back up, I would really like everyones input.
I also would like to know what people think about bringing back the High Council?

thats a good idea. we could just invite people we know that will know how to use forums, vent, ect.

bringing back the council would be pretty good too. i wouldn't know anything about it but it could help us out a lot.

Keeping it private would keep the banning down alot and it seems like thats a big thing right now so keep it private until it calms down or something. but whats the high council about i just dont have input on that bec i dont know anything bout it but it might be a good thing on here if im thinkin of the right thing lol

The High Council was 4 US players and 4 UK players (back when we had a LOT of UKers, different time zones so the forum was the main communication avenue for the two) that would be in charge of making decisions. there would also be a chain of command so that, lets say you had a problem with World of Warcraft , there would be people in charge of that division. you would always know who to go to, and each problem could be handled quickly. Also large decisions were made by the group, so it was not just one person.

yeah i agree with hand, it bigger problems are easier to solve with a group. yeah, there should be people in charge of each division to make the clan run more smoothly.

The only thing's I don't like about councils are how you usually have to go through them to do something and it ends up with a ton of rules, but it would be nice to have one. The clan seems to be a mess right now..

We need a set of simple to follow procedures, rules, code of conduct,ethics..etc to follow

As far as getting through to someone for approval.HC would be there to vote on a ban, unban,or to deal with a certain issues so noone has a private vendetta against someone and unfairly treats another member. I have been on HC before and I am pretty laid back but of course if someone flagrantly violates rules,ESPECIALLY CHEATING,that is where I usually step in. Cheating only makes the whole clan look bad as a whole and when it comes to tourneys if we ever do one,we get banned and look immature. This is why we look for mature players and request participation in this clan. If someone wants to suggest something all ya got to do is ask and we will vote real quick...it wont take an act of congress, lol

I think the HC is needed for one reason, a certain absence of a certain someone.

This obviously only worked thanks to the brilliant logic and smarts of the "UKers" :P

I agree that the clan is looking kind of messy atm, I think the xfire list needs to be fixed up. Everyone that is on the list needs to be a recruit and registered on the forums (Or a member/admin/founder etc) or they should be off the list.

Having a High Council wont create a load of rules, and it wont make things a hassle. The High Council would be used for example: removing members from the clan. It would be for big decisions not little ones such as accepting a member into the clan (That should be done by the leader of the Division of which that game is on). Which brings up another point, we need a list of players in the clan that are playing what and when (When meaning timezones).

I think the only reason the Xfire part of the clan looks messy is because Hand was the only person handling a dozen applications a day mixed in with people who can barely make one sentence asking him question after question and freaking out if he took five minutes to do his job..

Considering all he did the best he could and I totally agree with making Xfire private. If someone want to join they can join the forum first then get invited to Xfire. This will greatly cut out people who just want to add their names to our xfire list ... not to mention the self taggers who don't have permission to do that.

As for the HC question I guess that is really up to the head members. We need a few basic level headed people to run the day to day stuff and then a official group to bounce ideas off of and help make big decisions. Close to what we have being set up now. I doubt it will be the typical everyone sit around the table and say I stuff.
